Kyoto Protocol earn an AIM 18 Nomination for Best New Artist

As some of you may have heard, we have had the privilege to have been nominated for an AIM Award under the “Best New Artist” Category in this year’s upcoming AIM 18. We’re absolutely delighted to have been grouped in a category which includes some pretty awesome acts in Reza Salleh (who himself knocked up 5 nominations), Najwa (4 Nominations), Projek Pistol (2 Nominations) and James Baum.

This comes after an incredible year for us after having opened for MGMT, launched our debut album entitled “An Album” and having played at a series of festivals (with more coming up such as Rockaway 2011).  Honestly, we thank all you guys out there who’ve given your time to listen to us, those who’ve come up to us and said hi, and those who’ve supported us over this past year. All you K-Peeps are a part of this as much as we are.

Although excited and over the moon with the nomination, we’re pretty speechless about this – hence why the short blog post. But, let us give you a chance to…
